Ahn Ye-eun to Make Her Full Album Comeback on the 18th...A Darker Tragic Narrative

[Sportschosun Reporter Baek Ji-eun] Singer-songwriter Ahn Ye-eun is finally making her comeback.

Ahn Ye-eun will release her fifth studio album, "I Don't Think It's That Bad," at 6 p.m. on the 18th. This is her first full-length album in about three years and five months, following her fourth studio album, "Journey," released in February 2023.

The album consists of two CDs. CD1 includes nine tracks, including the title song "DENY," as well as "Deulsum," "Cliche," "Lily of the Valley," "Not Found," "Nagmang," "Gasi Kkocci," "Jando Gong," and "Nai." CD2 features eight songs: "Blind Fish," "Departure," "Frustrate," "Yeoldal Ahrehre," "Yunmu," "From School Uniforms to Bouquets," "Octopus' Dream" with Im A-jin, Im Seong-yun, Jeong Som, and Lee Da-on, and "The Monk and the Monkey."

"I Don't Think It's That Bad" is an album that carries Ahn Ye-eun's signature tragic storytelling. The first half vividly traces an emotional arc that moves through broken love, emotional fractures, anger, avoidance, self-deception, resignation, and despair, revealing the feelings left behind by a love that ended in tragedy. In the second half, she confronts anxiety and depression head-on while delivering the message, "Let's try to live anyway," capturing her current outlook on life.

The title track, "DENY," deals with a "failed love." Rather than focusing only on the collapse of a relationship, it channels the frustration, avoidance, and other emotions felt throughout life through powerful guitar riffs and an energetic sound.

Ahn Ye-eun will meet fans at her solo concert, "Double Celebration," on the 20th and 21st at the main auditorium of Sungshin Women's University Woonjung Green Campus in Gangbuk District, Seoul.
