[Sportschosun reporter Jung An-ji] Actress Ko So-young revealed her private office, which she has used since before her marriage, for the first time, showcasing her distinctive sense of interior design and love for vintage furniture.
On the 23rd, a video titled "Ko So-young Reveals Her Private Office Filled with 300-Year-Old Furniture for the First Time (Safe, Wedding Dress)" was uploaded to Ko So-young's YouTube channel.
In the video, Ko So-young introduced her private office and hideout, saying it was "a space I used before my marriage."
She explained, "I decorated it to feel like home because I didn't want an office to seem too rigid." She added, "I take off my shoes here, and there are many small items I cherish and like. I also have many clothes here from my glamorous days before I became a mother."
The main office area featured rare vintage pieces that reflected Ko So-young's taste, including a 300-year-old Moroccan vintage mother-of-pearl chair, a 300-year-old Moroccan vintage mother-of-pearl chest of drawers, a multifunctional bench from House of Pinyul, and a Chinese vintage tea cabinet.
Ko So-young said, "These are pieces I had when I lived alone." She added, "Vintage furniture is hard to maintain. You have to wipe it with lemon oil. Lemon oil is good for wood. Doesn't wooden flooring crack? I wipe it with lemon oil while watching TV." During the process, the production team found a set of hwatu cards in a drawer, and Ko So-young laughed by saying, "I sometimes play Go-Stop too."
She also said, "I like color. I can't make my home all colorful, can I? That's not my space; it's where my family lives, so I brought all the things I like here." Indeed, the office was decorated throughout with vivid accessories and unique interior pieces that drew attention.
There was also an unexpected moment. After finding gum with an expiration date listed as October 2019, Ko So-young said, "I just ate it. But I feel fine," and chewed it, drawing laughter.
The kitchen and bathroom also boasted a stylish atmosphere. From the ornate range hood to the bathroom drawer handles, Ko So-young personally bought decorative objects from specialty shops and used them in the interior, making the space a unique reflection of her personality and lifestyle.
