[Sportschosun Reporter Cho Min-jung] Kim Moo-yeol and Oh Jung-se, who have recently established themselves as two of the hottest actors in Korea, formed a duet and sang together in a video that has belatedly gone viral online, drawing fresh attention.
On various online communities and social media platforms, a six-year-old Zespri commercial featuring the two actors is spreading again, with users calling it "an incredible combination now that we look back on it."
The video was produced in 2020 as campaign content to promote Zespri kiwi. At the time, Oh Jung-se and Kim Moo-yeol appeared as the SunGold kiwi and Green kiwi characters, respectively, and performed a duet stage.
In the released video, Oh Jung-se stepped onto the stage in a yellow suit and radiated bright energy. Kim Moo-yeol also appeared in a green suit and matched his rhythm with Oh Jung-se. The two sang into microphones in a stage setup that resembled a trot duo, showing off a different kind of charm.
Even at the time, the unusual concept drew attention, but it is now attracting renewed interest as both actors are enjoying peak popularity.
Oh Jung-se has recently earned praise for playing Choi Seong-gon, a ballad star who once swept across South Korea, in the film "Wild Thing." He is winning over audiences with his signature comic timing and emotional interpretation of the character.
Kim Moo-yeol has also been making a strong impression on global viewers through the Netflix series "The Good Teacher," further boosting his popularity. Since the release of the series, he has drawn strong attention both in Korea and overseas, becoming a major talking point.
Netizens have also responded enthusiastically. Comments under the video included, "I came here after watching The Good Teacher and now I'm back to Kim Moo-yeol's sweet kiwi days," "Oh Jung-se as Gold kiwi is so sweet too," "Bamdegi Bamdegi Digi Bam Bam," and "You guys like it." One user also made people laugh by leaving the comment, "We haven't gotten that far yet."
The unexpected duet stage the two stars once shared is once again giving fans a fresh dose of entertainment.
