[Sportschosun Baek Ji-eun] Group CORTIS is showing a remarkable surge.
The title track "Red Red" from CORTIS's second mini album surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify as of the 16th. Released on April 20, "Red Red" reached the milestone in just 57 days, setting the fastest 100 million-stream record for a song by a boy group that debuted within the past five years.
With this, CORTIS now has three songs with more than 100 million streams, following the tracks "Go!" and "Fashion" from its first mini album. In particular, "Red Red" cut the time needed to reach 100 million streams for "Go!" (116 days) in half, setting a new group record.
"Red Red" has become a major hit thanks to lyrics that contrast what to avoid with "red" and what to pursue with "green," along with a fresh sound and catchy rhythm. Upon release, it swept the top spots on major domestic music platforms' daily and weekly charts, and also ranked No. 36 on Spotify Daily Top Songs Global and No. 61 on Spotify Weekly Top Songs Global.
The song has also fueled loud singalongs at college festivals and at a street cheering event at Gwanghwamun Square for the "2026 FIFA World Cup," while the "Fluttering Ears Dance," which visually captures the lyrics, sparked a viral challenge trend.
Buoyed by that momentum, U.S. business magazine Forbes selected CORTIS for its "Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026" list.
The group's growing popularity is also translating into ticket power. All seats for the Incheon and North America dates of its first solo tour, "2026 CORTIS Tour <Put Your Phone Down>," sold out early during the membership presale stage. The group is set to hold 14 shows in nine cities from July to September.
