'79-Year-Old' Heo Young-man Suffers Unexpected Fall...Hospitalized for a Month, Halts Public Activities [Official]

On the 17th, Heo Young-man shared his thoughts on wrapping up "Table for One" on his official social media account, along with a photo and the message, "It was a joyful journey."

His representatives later issued an official statement saying that Heo Young-man had recently developed a health issue and was focusing on treatment and recovery on medical advice.

They added, "Accordingly, he will suspend all public activities for the time being and rest," and said, "The company will prioritize supporting his treatment and recovery."

They also added, "We thank readers and viewers who have long supported his body of work and broadcast activities."

What was initially reported as a simple health issue later turned out to involve more specific circumstances.

According to an official, Heo Young-man recently suffered a fall and was taken to the hospital, where he reportedly received treatment in the intensive care unit.

He is currently hospitalized and recovering. While he is said to be in stable condition, concerns remain because of his age.

The fall has drawn even more concern from fans and viewers, as such accidents can be especially dangerous for older adults.

TV Chosun also said, "The program's journey has come to a close for now due to the health reasons of Mr. Heo, who will soon turn 80," adding, "We thank the viewers and production staff who have been with us for the past seven years."

Meanwhile, "Heo Young-man's Table for One" is set to look back on its journey in a special broadcast titled "The Side Dishes We Loved: Seven Delicious Years of Memories" on the 21st.
