Sexual Harassment, Defamation, and Privacy Violations Targeting Jang Won-young... "We Will Pursue This to the End" [Official][Official]

[Sportschosun Jo Min-jeong] Starship Entertainment, the agency of IVE member Jang Won-young, has once again taken a hard-line stance against malicious posts and the spread of false information targeting the singer.

In an official statement released on the 18th, Starship Entertainment said, "We are continuously monitoring malicious posts and the spread of false information about our artist Jang Won-young, and we are pursuing legal action."

According to the agency, investigations into the case are currently under way, and procedures to identify suspects and secure evidence are continuing. In particular, warrant procedures are being carried out to obtain subscriber information from domestic platforms such as Naver Blog and DC Inside. For overseas platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), international cooperation is also being pursued to identify the authors and secure related information.

Starship said it has been steadily collecting evidence of posts and comments that infringe on Jang Won-young's rights through fan reports and its own monitoring. It added that it is continuing strong responses, including civil and criminal measures, against a range of illegal acts such as insult, defamation, the spread of false information, sexual harassment, sexual insults, and privacy violations.

The agency also said, "We are constantly monitoring rights violations not only against Jang Won-young but against all of our artists," and added, "Regardless of whether posts are deleted, accounts are closed, or settings are changed to private, we will hold those responsible legally accountable to the end based on the evidence we have secured."

Starship Entertainment has consistently pursued legal action against the authors of malicious posts. Most notably, it identified the operator of the YouTube channel Sojang through information obtained via a United States court procedure, and it also won a lawsuit related to the spread of false information and defamation.

Earlier, in January, when the operator of Sojang received a suspended prison sentence, Starship had also stated, "We will respond to all illegal acts against our artist, including the spread of false information, slander, defamation, and violations of personal rights, without leniency or settlement."
