He Said He Used to Get 50,000 Won per Appearance... Kim Dae-ho’s Life Turned Around After Going Freelance, with His Fee Rising 150-Fold per Episode

[Sportschosun Kim So-hee Reporter] Former announcer-turned-broadcaster Kim Dae-ho will candidly reveal how much he has been earning since becoming a freelancer.

On SBS's 'But Seriously!' airing Monday the 22nd, actress Yoo In-young and former announcer Kim Dae-ho appear as close friends of the opposite sex and show a special chemistry that blurs the line between friendship and something more.

During a recent recording, Kim Dae-ho surprised everyone by saying that his appearance fee had increased 150-fold after he declared himself a freelancer.

He also looked visibly nervous during his first appearance on an SBS variety show. Throughout the recording, he was thrown off by the bickering chemistry between Tak Jae-hoon and Lee Sang-min, making for a proper debut on SBS variety programming. Meanwhile, Tak Jae-hoon revealed an unexpected connection with Yoo In-young, saying they had both attended the same model academy. Boom then jokingly raised suspicions by asking Tak Jae-hoon, "Aren't you just a partial model?" sending the set into laughter.

Kim Dae-ho then honestly admitted, "It's been more than 10 years since I last dated anyone." When the hosts asked when his last kiss was, he could not hide his embarrassment, drawing laughter. As for his ideal type, he said, "Honestly, I care a lot about looks. My current ideal type is Go Youn-jung." Hearing that, the hosts reacted in disbelief, saying, "That's the funniest story we've heard all year," which made everyone burst out laughing.

Yoo In-young later said that the age at which she hopes to get married keeps getting later. She explained, "I originally wanted to get married at 30, but in my 20s, I never thought 30 would come so quickly," and added, "I definitely want to get married before I turn 45," showing her determination about marriage. When asked what kind of man she dislikes most, she answered, "An immature man," which drew attention. Tak Jae-hoon then snapped back, saying, "You mean me? Are you targeting me?" and the studio erupted in laughter. The compatibility result for the two unexpectedly came out as "fated to get married," reportedly turning the set upside down and raising curiosity about where their fate will lead.

Kim Dae-ho and Yoo In-young's candid talk and surprising compatibility result can be seen on 'But Seriously!' airing on SBS at 10:10 p.m. on Monday the 22nd.

He Said He Used to Get 50,000 Won per Appearance... Kim Dae-ho’s Life Turned Around After Going Freelance, with His Fee Rising 150-Fold per Episode

Meanwhile, Kim Dae-ho recently spoke candidly on another program about how his life changed after going freelance. He said it has been more than a year since he started working as a freelancer, adding, "I was honestly surprised to earn an amount that would have been hard to come by while working at a company."

His income change also drew attention. Kim Dae-ho said that when he was working at Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), his annual salary at the assistant manager level was around 100 million won. He added, "After I started freelancing, it took less than six months to earn that much." He explained that after leaving the stability of office life and taking on a new challenge, he felt a much bigger change than expected.

He also spoke honestly about what led him to resign. Kim Dae-ho recalled, "After I became better known, I balanced company work and broadcasting activities. More and more places wanted me, but the appearance fee for one broadcast was only about 50,000 won." He added, "Because I was still an employee, I had to manage all my schedules myself. I worked like that for three years."

Above all, he said the main reason he hesitated for so long before going freelance was his sense of responsibility toward the company. He said, "The reason I couldn't immediately declare myself a freelancer was because I felt indebted to the company," adding, "After about three years, I felt like I had done what I could."

He continued, "I thought this was an important time to start designing my own life," and added, "After those thoughts, I decided to resign." His remarks drew attention for their honesty.
