Secret's Jun Hyo-seong Reveals Why She Took a Break: "Forced to Rest Because of Company Issues"

[Sportschosun Kim Jun-seok] Secret member Jun Hyo-seong opened up about the reason for her hiatus and spoke candidly about how she felt.

On the 18th, the YouTube channel Class A Jang Young-ran released a video titled, "Secret's Jun Hyo-seong, who once dominated music show No. 1 spots, living alone after stopping activities (three years of unpaid work, Jang Young-ran shocked)."

That day, Jang Young-ran visited Jun Hyo-seong's home and asked how she had been. Jun Hyo-seong, who had been active both as a Secret member and as a solo artist, explained why she went through an unexpected break.

Jun Hyo-seong confessed, "There were some issues with the company, so I was forced to take a break," adding, "During that time, I kept thinking about what I would do if I didn't become a celebrity."

With her activities suddenly halted, she said she also worried deeply about her future. Still, she used the hiatus as a time to take on new challenges.

Even so, she never gave up on her dream of singing. "I really wanted to sing starting two years ago," she said. "I began preparing to return to the stage."

In fact, Jun Hyo-seong resumed group activities for the first time in 12 years on the 18th, when Secret released its special mini album, "Secret Flavor," together with Jung Ha-na and new member Yebin.

Meanwhile, Jun Hyo-seong debuted with Secret in 2009 and won love for numerous hits including "Magic," "Madonna," and "Starlight Moonlight." She later expanded her career into solo music, acting, and broadcasting.
