[Sportschosun, Lee Woo-joo] Singer and actress Lee Hye-ri spoke candidly about herself.
On the 19th, a video titled "Sharing the Story of the Muju Mountain Film Festival I Prepared for Over the Past Year" was uploaded to Lee Hye-ri's YouTube channel.
Lee Hye-ri said, "Today, I want to talk a little about myself. I was selected as the Next Actor for the Muju Mountain Film Festival. I have now finished that entire journey, and I worked hard to save everything because I wanted to share it all." She added, "When you are selected as the Next Actor, a book titled 'Next Actor' is published with Director Baek Eun-ha. So I bought a keyboard and spent my time working. This book is filled only with my story. The fact that I can publish this book is amazing, and I feel so proud and moved."
She also said, "As the Next Actor, I went to Muju County and screened my first directorial work. I also screened the trailer and held my own exhibition. It was a schedule that began with Lee Hye-ri and ended with Lee Hye-ri." She then shared everything from the trailer production process to her Muju Mountain Film Festival schedule.
Lee Hye-ri visited the studio location scout for the trailer shoot. Speaking about the message she wanted to convey through the trailer, she said, "This bedroom is meant to represent the image people originally expect from me, the image they know of me, and the obvious things that come to mind when they think of me. The bathroom feels like a kind of escape, so when the lights come on, those things disappear." She added, "I think I myself would feel like someone with a lot of worries and exhaustion, and when I go into the bathroom, I would feel a little more refreshed than that."
The trailer, in which she took part in every stage as a director, was unveiled to audiences at the Muju Mountain Film Festival. After successfully presenting it, Lee Hye-ri told the audience, "Several spaces appear in the trailer, and each space has a different meaning. The bedroom at the beginning was meant to symbolize the image people have liked and the version of me I have shown so far. As I moved through the hallway and into the bathroom, I wanted to express a more liberated feeling." She continued, "Then, when the subtitle 'Who's the next?' appeared at the end, I made this trailer in the hope that you would want to see the next face of mine that you can look forward to."
Meanwhile, Lee Hye-ri was recently caught up in an unexpected controversy over the outfit she wore to a fan meeting held on the 13th. At the time, she wore a body-hugging sleeveless dress, and some criticized her for appearing to have gained weight because lighting and camera angles made her midsection look more prominent than it really was. In response, Lee Hye-ri confidently wrote on a fan communication platform on the 16th, "I like myself, but people may think I'm not being professional. (Though I don't know why being slim is what makes someone look professional.) If my fans want it, I'll try."
