[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] Im Woo-il shared a heartwarming story about Yoo Jae-suk on 'Plan by Jeon Hyun-moo 3.'
On the MBN program 'Plan by Jeon Hyun-moo 3,' which aired on the 19th, comedian Im Woo-il appeared as a guest.
When Jeon Hyun-moo said Im Woo-il seemed to be on a roll, he asked which shows he was appearing on. Jeon also asked about the origin of Im Woo-il's catchphrase, saying, "Was 'jass jass' something you always did?" Im Woo-il explained, "It was a segment on 'Gag Con' in 2012 that passed review but was canceled after three weeks. The senior comedians thought it was funny, so they kept making me say 'jass.' Senior Kim Dae-hee even told me, 'From now on, greet me with 'jass.'' We used the catchphrase at weddings too, when someone would say, 'A distinguished guest has arrived. Who is it?' I must have done it a million times. Everyone among the comedians knew it."
Im Woo-il said Yoo Jae-suk is one senior he will never forget. He also revealed that Yoo gave him a cash gift on moving day. Im said, "Coincidentally, Yoo Jae-suk called me on the very day I was moving. He asked what I was doing, and when I said I was sorting out my belongings with junior colleagues because it was moving day, he told me to text him anything I needed. Even after I refused, he brought it up three times. So I sent him photos of laundry soap, a washboard, a mallet, detergent, and a washing machine, and said, 'If you send me any of these, I'll use them well.' Then he sent me 1 million won and told me to buy a washing machine."
