"Watch Out for Thieves" Nana Stuns Awards Show With Surprise Remark, Leaving the Venue in Stitches

[Sportschosun Park Araam] Nana, a former member of After School and now an actress, drew attention at an awards ceremony with a witty acceptance speech that appeared to reference the robbery she recently experienced.

Nana attended the 2026 Korea International Streaming Festival Global OTT Awards, held on the 20th at Loop Theater in the Busan Cinema Center, and won Best Supporting Actress for the drama "Climax."

She beat strong contenders including Lee Yi-dam from "Lady Dua," Chai Wenjing from "The Devil Between Us," and Mori Nana from "Every Day Is a Holiday" to take home the honor, earning recognition for her performance in the series.

After receiving the trophy, Nana said, "I am so grateful to receive such a great award at the Global OTT Awards, in such wonderful weather and in such a beautiful venue." She added, "This award is thanks to the director. I will keep acting, and I hope to become an actress who can positively influence many people through sincere performances."

As she continued her calm remarks, she ended with an unexpected line that drew laughter. Nana said, "Please stay healthy, watch out for thieves, and I hope you are happy," prompting applause and laughter from the audience.

The remark drew even more attention because it recalled the home invasion she suffered last year.

In November last year, Nana was threatened when an intruder broke into her home in Guri, Gyeonggi Province. The defendant was indicted on charges of entering the residence while armed with a weapon, threatening Nana and her mother, and demanding valuables.

At the sentencing hearing, prosecutors sought 10 years in prison, but the court handed down a seven-year sentence in the first trial. Both the prosecution and the defendant appealed the ruling, sending the case to a second trial.

Meanwhile, Nana has been expanding her presence as an actress through a range of recent projects and continues to stay active in the industry.
