Shin Hyun-joon Says, "There Was a Terrorist Who Looked Just Like Me" ... Why He Was Stopped Eight Times at a U.S. Airport

[Sportschosun reporter Park Araam] Actor Shin Hyun-joon revealed a memorable experience he had while entering the United States in the past, saying his exotic looks led to repeated checks.

On the 19th, a video titled "Shin Hyun-joon, who was banned from entering the United States because of his looks; Song Yun-hyeong, mistaken for a foreign member; and Hwang Je-seong, who just looks Mexican" was uploaded to the channel "Today, Hwang Je-seong."

In the video, Shin said, "This is an old story, but during the Gulf War and the Iraq War, I really couldn't go overseas," adding, "Especially during the Iraq War, I couldn't enter the United States. I always got flagged at immigration."

He then speculated on the reason, saying, "There is a terrorist who looks similar to me."

Shin surprised everyone by saying, "I can laugh about it now, but there was a time when I was inspected eight times in the United States."

When the cast asked, "Was that person eventually caught?" Shin replied, "At some point, the screening did become easier," and added, "I guess he was probably caught," drawing laughter on set.
