[Sportschosun reporter Jung An-ji] Actress Park Jung-soo drew attention after a five-story building in Apgujeong, built for her common-law husband Jeong Eul-young, producer-director, was revealed.
On the SBS variety show "My Little Old Boy," which aired on the 21st, Kim Seung-soo, Kim Jong-min, and Yoon Min-soo visited Park Jung-soo's Apgujeong House.
That day, Kim Seung-soo entered a five-story building in Apgujeong-dong and said, "I heard she built this building for her husband, not for herself," drawing attention.
The owner of the building was none other than actress Park Jung-soo. The three could not hide their admiration for the open view overlooking the Apgujeong luxury shopping district.
When asked, "You built a five-story building for your husband?" Park Jung-soo said, "There was an old building here, so I rebuilt it. At the time, my husband was at his peak, so I told him, 'If I build this for you, work here a lot.'"
In particular, the top floor of the building featured a private workspace made only for Jeong Eul-young, producer-director. Park Jung-soo explained, "He doesn't need to rent a separate officetel. When he works, he can sleep here and hold meetings here too," adding, "My husband is a drama director."
Kim Seung-soo said, "I met Director Jeong Eul-young briefly about six years ago. Back then, he said he thought he would start a new project soon, but I haven't heard anything since." Park Jung-soo then opened up, saying, "I understand how he feels. I asked him, 'You always said you were starting a drama, so why aren't you doing it?' He probably felt a lot of pressure, wondering what if he made a new project and it turned out worse than before, since he had a certain level he reached in the past."
After hearing that, Kim Seung-soo joked, "If you don't have a hideout and set up a workspace, you'd have to pay rent, but here you don't have to pay rent," drawing laughter. Park Jung-soo then said, "He usually doesn't say thank you, but when he comes here to work or has a drink and comes home, he says, 'Honey, I'm really grateful to you,'" making everyone laugh again.
Park Jung-soo later revealed a neat meeting room that also serves as a kitchen, along with Jeong Eul-young's private space and a minimalist yet tidy bedroom. In particular, the space reflected the director's tastes and convenience with thoughtful details, including a partially open ceiling so Jeong Eul-young, producer-director, can look up at the sky, drawing admiration from viewers.
