[Sportschosun Park Ara] Counselor Lee Ho-sun expressed her deep sorrow over the passing of singer Ok-hee and looked back on their memories together.

On the 21st, Lee shared a post on her personal account saying, "My beloved teacher Ok-hee passed away today," and recalled her connection with the late singer. She described their first meeting on a recording set and the time they spent together as co-stars on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)'s "Not_found," expressing profound grief.

Lee remembered how Ok-hee would light up the room with her bright energy every time she walked into the studio. She said Ok-hee's passionate gesture of showing her Zumba moves while saying, "Ho-sun, learn Zumba," and her warm advice about health and vitality still remain vivid in her memory.

She also recalled how Ok-hee always sat beside her on the program, making them feel like natural partners. Lee said the kind gestures, such as holding her hand and offering encouraging words like "You're doing very well," still linger in her ears.

Lee offered her final farewell to the late singer, saying, "She will be remembered as a figure who led an era of the South Korean popular music industry and as someone who shared love with others," expressing deep respect and longing.

Meanwhile, Ok-hee died on the 20th at a hospice ward in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, after battling kidney cancer. She was 73. In the 1970s, she won wide popularity with numerous hit songs, including "I Don't Know," "Best Friend," and "Hold Hands," and she remained active on television until last year.

Her funeral altar has been set up at Asan Medical Center, and the funeral will be held under the Korean Singers Association. The burial will take place at 11 a.m. on the 24th.
