[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Woo-joo] Han Hye-jin's daughter, Xion, showed a very rational side.
On the 24th, a video titled "A sister-in-law who makes pretty dumplings with lots of emotion vs. Kang-woo who just pushes ahead with quantity! Our family's dumpling battle" was uploaded to Kim Kang-woo's YouTube channel.
Kim Kang-woo's family gathered with Han Hye-jin, her daughter, and her mother-in-law to make dumplings. The family even made homemade wrappers on top of 100 store-bought ones, turning the day into a full dumpling feast. Xion, Han Hye-jin's daughter, also took an interest in watching her maternal grandmother make the wrappers.
Han Hye-jin's mother recalled their time in England, saying, "There was nothing to eat in terms of Korean food, so we made dumplings and ate them. Sung-yueng rolled the dough with flour," and Han Hye-jin added, "We shared a lot. When people said, 'We made dumplings,' and came to pick them up, we would give them dumplings."
Before long, the kitchen where the filling was being prepared had turned into a playground for the grandchildren. Kim Kang-woo's sons and Han Hye-jin's daughter mixed the filling as if they were playing with slime.
The family gathered together and quickly made dumplings. Kim Kang-woo told his wife, "Let's boil some cold noodles and eat them. I think they would go well with Pyeongyang Naengmyeon," but Han Hye-jin cautiously replied, "I don't like Pyeongyang Naengmyeon. I like Hamheung naengmyeon." Xion then teased her, saying, "Why are you showing off your English skills, Mom?" Han Hye-jin's older sister asked, "Isn't your mom good at it?" Xion firmly said, "No," but Han Hye-jin's sister said, "When we were in England, we stuck close to your mom all the time." Xion then made everyone laugh by saying, "You should have stuck close to Dad."
Meanwhile, Han Hye-jin married footballer Ki Sung-yueng in 2013 and welcomed their daughter, Xion, in 2015. Soon after the wedding, Han Hye-jin moved to Swansea, England, with Ki Sung-yueng and spent her newlywed life there.
