[Sportschosun Park Araem] NCT's Jaehyun was unexpectedly swept up in dating rumors after posting vacation photos on Social Networking Service (SNS), but he cleared up the misunderstanding by leaving a direct comment.
On the 26th, Jaehyun uploaded several photos and videos to his personal account without any explanation. The posts showed him enjoying surfing against a backdrop of the blue sea. He was seen relaxing with a yellow surfboard and also drew attention from fans by showing off his toned physique in a swimsuit.
However, one scene from the video drew attention. As he was seen entering the sea alongside a woman with long straight hair wearing a white bikini, some overseas fans speculated, "Isn't she his girlfriend?" Online, reactions continued to pour in over the woman's identity.
As the controversy grew, a producer at SM Entertainment explained the situation in a comment. He said, "He must have posted it with good intentions after making precious memories with his cousin during an insanely busy schedule, and it must be upsetting for Jaehyun to think about reading the comments. Please stop making baseless assumptions."
Jaehyun also left a comment himself. Writing "My dearest cousin," he explained that the woman in the video was his cousin. The online dating rumors were thus dismissed as a misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, Jaehyun is currently serving in the military and continues to stay in touch with fans by sharing glimpses of his daily life from his vacation through SNS.
