Baek Ji-young Reveals the 'Shocking Reason' She Left Her Luxury Gangnam District Mixed-Use Apartment... "Property Values Fell After Flooding at

[Sportschosun, Reporter Kim Jun-seok] Singer Baek Ji-young revealed why she left the luxury mixed-use apartment in Gangnam District that she bought early in her career. She said she decided to move after property values fell following flooding in the Gangnam Station area.

On the 27th, a video titled "Why did Baek Ji-young, who bought a luxury mixed-use apartment six years after her debut, move into an older 25-pyeong apartment? (Three rooms, investment value)" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Baek Ji-young.'

That day, Baek Ji-young shared her real estate experience while touring her new home with the production team.

She said, "I bought my first home about six years after my debut," adding, "At first, I lived in a luxury mixed-use apartment near Gangnam Station."

She continued, "I still own it," but added, "Its investment value has dropped a lot. The reason I moved was that problems arose when there was a major flood."

Baek Ji-young recalled the situation at the time, saying, "The building was built in a European style, and the generator was in the basement. As water came in, all the generators stopped, causing a power outage and a water outage."

She said, "From that point on, the property value started to fall," and added, "Most of the cars in the parking lot were also damaged by flooding. It took more than two weeks just to restore everything, and we even stayed in a hotel."

She also added, "I understand it was classified as a natural disaster, so compensation was not properly provided."

Baek Ji-young later moved to an older apartment in Cheongdam-dong, but she said that place also had many inconveniences.

She said, "The elevator started from the fourth floor, so I always had to walk up half a floor. And because there were no assigned parking spaces, I often got calls late at night asking me to move another car."

She went on to say, "Not every expensive home in Gangnam District is a good place to live. I learned a lot that investment value matters, but the actual living environment must also be carefully considered."

Meanwhile, Baek Ji-young continues to draw attention by regularly sharing her real estate investment experiences and offering practical advice, in addition to the home where she currently lives with her family.
