[Sportschosun, Reporter Jung An-ji] Singer Moon Won candidly confessed that, after the various controversies surrounding his marriage to Shinji, he was afraid of people's reactions and spent time going from one cafe open until dawn to another.
On the 29th, MBN released a teaser for Someone's Precious Family under the title, "Moon Won's confession: 'I was scared to face people, but...'"
In the video, Moon Won recalled how he had withdrawn because of public scrutiny, saying, "I think I only went around places near my home. Going far away was scary."
He added, "There is a cafe near my house that stays open until dawn. I would sit in a place with no people, drink tea, and look at the night view."
Last year, Moon Won faced intense public criticism amid a series of controversies, including allegations about his attitude and private life, during the couple's wedding preparations with Shinji. At the time, some even voiced opposition to their marriage.
Even so, Shinji showed unwavering trust. She said, "I understand all of the affectionate concern and worry from so many people," and added, "I will not forget that feeling and will keep moving forward together, just as I always have." She stood by Moon Won's side.
After the couple held their wedding on May 2, they left their neighborhood and traveled to Gyeongju.
Shinji said, "Honestly, I was worried. This is the first place where we can face people after the wedding," and added, "But people congratulated us, welcomed us warmly, and wished us a happy life. That gave me great strength."
Moon Won also expressed his gratitude, saying, "At first, just standing among so many people was half fear and half happiness. But everyone was so kind to us." He continued, "We were looking at the night view together, and I thought, 'I was scared for nothing.' Thanks to today, I truly found courage."
Shinji then drew attention by saying, "From now on, I want to visit places more often where I can look ahead and up, instead of just looking down at the ground."
