GS Group said it will join the talent development project 'K-New Deal Academy,' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, to help train young talent with practical artificial intelligence (AI) skills.
GS announced on the 15th that it will begin operating its youth education program, the '52g Reboot Camp,' starting next month.
The '52g Reboot Camp' is a hands-on training program for young people struggling with job preparation and job hunting. It will select 120 participants in total from Seoul and Yeosu and provide a 520-hour curriculum aimed at improving AI practical skills and problem-solving abilities required in the workplace.
The program will be jointly run by GS Group's innovation community '52g' and corporate training specialist Carrot Global in the form of a consortium.
52g plans to operate the program based on the experience and infrastructure it has built through the GS Group Hackathon and more than 230 on-site innovation projects.
The curriculum will include design thinking training, hands-on practice using generative AI, mentoring from industry professionals, and workplace project execution.
Participants will gain practical experience by producing real project outcomes through step-by-step exercises in AI tool use, problem definition, data analysis, and project design.
In particular, GS will provide a hands-on environment using its own AI platform, Miso, allowing participants to build prototypes directly.
Through this, the company plans to offer more than simple technical training by helping participants understand workplace challenges and turn solutions into concrete plans.
Carrot Global will be responsible for curriculum design and learning operations, helping improve the program's professionalism and quality.
Even after the training ends, the program will continue to support participants in preparing for employment and entering society through portfolio development and networking programs.
Applications for the 52g Reboot Camp will open on the 22nd, and more details can be found on the GS website.
A GS official said, "As AI technology spreads across all industries, it is becoming increasingly important for young people to develop the AI application skills and problem-solving experience needed in real workplaces." The official added, "Based on the field-oriented AX know-how we have accumulated, we will actively support the K-New Deal Academy so that young people struggling with job preparation and job hunting can regain confidence and discover new possibilities."
