[Sportschosun Jang Jong-ho] The Chungnam Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Center at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, led by Director Yoon Seok-man, held the "2026 Chungnam Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Disease Management Council" at 10 a.m. on the 16th in the hospital's first auditorium on the sixth floor.
The council was organized to improve the management of cardiocerebrovascular diseases in the Chungnam region and strengthen cooperation among related institutions. About 20 people attended, including officials from the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government, Chungnam Fire Headquarters, Public Health Centers, local medical institutions, and related experts.
Participants discussed the current status of prehospital emergency medical systems, including the 119 transport system; ways to build an emergency transfer system for cardiocerebrovascular disease patients; measures to improve treatment standards through cooperation among institutions in the region; education and public relations projects for prevention and management of cardiocerebrovascular diseases; plans to establish a public-private cooperation system; and the future direction of the regional cardiocerebrovascular center.
Director Yoon said, "For cardiocerebrovascular diseases, close cooperation with the local community is essential, from prevention to emergency transport, treatment, and rehabilitation." He added, "Through this council, we will further strengthen the local cooperation system and do our best to create a medical environment where residents in the region can receive treatment with peace of mind."
Meanwhile, the state-designated Chungnam Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Center at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital is working to build a community-based essential medical system by carrying out prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for cardiocerebrovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke, as well as community-linked projects.
