[Sportschosun Jang Jong-ho] Gyeongsang National University Hospital said on the 22nd that it has completed its main storage upgrade project, a core IT infrastructure initiative for building AI-based medical services.
The project was carried out after the hospital was selected for the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW)'s Regional Responsible Medical Institution AI-based Treatment System Support Project.
The hospital replaced its existing storage with a new high-performance system and established a redundant environment that synchronizes data in real time between the main server room and the disaster recovery center.
This has improved the stability of medical data and created a foundation for uninterrupted medical information services even in the event of a system failure.
In particular, by further strengthening the stability and continuity of major information systems, including the clinical information system, the hospital has reinforced its digital transformation foundation to respond to the future medical environment. This includes improving patient safety and medical service quality, advancing its AI-based clinical support system, and boosting medical data analysis and research.
Kang Seok-jun, Director of Medical Information, who oversaw the project, said, "Information systems at medical institutions are essential infrastructure that supports the stable operation of clinical settings." He added, "We will continue to actively use advanced information technology to provide safer and higher-quality medical services."
