[Sportschosun Reporter Jeongbit] Group POW will make a comeback with its new single "Flavor" after about six months.
On the 25th, POW unveiled a comeback poster for its new single "Flavor" through its official social media accounts. The group will release "Flavor" on July 28 at 6 p.m. and begin full-scale promotions.
The poster drew attention with its refreshing midsummer mood. Centered on a pouch filled with cosmetics such as lipstick and blush, it used cool blue tones to create a fresh yet trendy atmosphere. The album title "Flavor" further raised expectations for the group's new music and concept.
This album is especially meaningful because leader Yorch took charge of producing every track. He has steadily built up his musical skills through ongoing songwriting, and this release is expected to showcase POW's unique identity and musical world more clearly, while signaling stronger competitiveness.
The comeback comes about six months after the single "Come True," released in January. At the time, POW delivered a message of support and courage to those preparing for a new beginning, further solidifying the team's identity. With stable live performances, more mature stage presence, and emotional music, the group made its mark on global charts and music shows, proving its reputation as a "growing all-rounder."
Ahead of the comeback, the group will also continue its self-produced project, "The Demo Tape." In this project, members directly take part in writing and composing. After releasing Jungbin's self-written song "WHY" as the first track in May, Hyunbin will unveil the second new song, "Happy Depression," which he wrote and composed, on the 25th.
"Happy Depression" is a song about wanting to find happiness even in sadness. Hyunbin said, "I wanted to express the feeling of being depressed, but not wanting to stay depressed." He added, "I hope listeners can look at the word 'depression' from a slightly different perspective."
As POW continues to turn the members' honest stories into music and expand its capabilities as singer-songwriters, attention is turning to what new charm the group will show through its new single "Flavor."
