[Sportschosun Jo Ji-young] The comedy film 'Wild Thing' (directed by Sohn Jae-gon, produced by About Film) has unveiled behind-the-scenes footage from actor Oh Jung-se's stage greetings, which sparked a "Choi Seong-gon syndrome."
On the 13th, the birthday of the character Choi Seong-gon (Oh Jung-se), who has been fueling an "I Like You" craze on social media, a special screening and stage greeting event for the "Sung-gon Birthday" drew a sold-out crowd, proving the film's explosive popularity.
That day, Oh Jung-se visited major theaters across Seoul, including Lotte Cinema World Tower, Megabox COEX, and CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall, fully recreating Choi Seong-gon's signature hairstyle and outfit. Taking the stage with director Sohn Jae-gon, Oh Jung-se entered while singing "I Like You," drawing cheers from the audience from the very start.
In particular, he wore adorable "angel wings" on his back and moved through the audience, striking his signature "love you" pose for the Gondeu, filling the theaters with laughter. He also handed out pink roses and special merchandise while interacting with fans. He even made a surprise appearance at the "Sung-gon Birthday" special screening without any prior notice, raising the energy in the theater to its peak and giving the Gondeu an unforgettable day.
Fans who watched the film also came dressed in pink items and brought an atmosphere of support that felt like a real idol concert. In particular, audience members prepared witty cheering banners themselves, with messages such as "I came from Taiwan just because it's Jung-se," "Move aside, Oh Jung-se! Gondeu belongs to Gon only," and "A signed 'I Like You,'" further heating up the scene.
Buoyed by the audience's enthusiastic support, a special poster for 'Wild Thing' has also been unveiled, drawing attention. The poster features the tagline, "Sweeping away the heat, stress, and laughter," and captures the charm of the TRIANGLE members Hyun-woo (Kang Dong-won), Sang-gu (Uhm Tae-goo), and Byun Do-mi (Park Ji-hyun), along with Seong-gon and Park Dae-pyo (Shin Ha-kyun). The lively energy of the poster hints at the comic chemistry they will bring to the film.
'Wild Thing' follows TRIANGLE, a mixed-gender dance group that once swept the music scene but disbanded after an unexpected incident, as they get a chance to make a comeback and head back to the stage more than 20 years later. The film stars Kang Dong-won, Uhm Tae-goo, Park Ji-hyun, and Oh Jung-se, with Sohn Jae-gon, who directed 'My Scary Girl' and 'Secret Zoo,' at the helm.
