[Sportschosun Reporter Jo Ji-young] Actress Shin Min-a said, "It was fascinating to see two of my faces in one frame."
A press and distribution screening for the suspense thriller film "The Eyes" (directed by Yeom Ji-ho, produced by Dream Capture) was held on the afternoon of the 15th at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Shin Min-a, who took on dual roles as Seo-jin, a photographer gradually losing her sight to a hereditary optic disease as she investigates the death of her twin sister, and Seoin, her twin sister who achieved success as a ceramic artist despite her visual impairment but meets a mysterious death. Also present were Kim Nam-hee, who plays Detective Do-hyeok, the officer assigned to the case who remains wary of Seo-jin's obsession while helping her track Seoin's death, and director Yeom Ji-ho.
On her dual role performance, Shin said, "I've acted in two roles before, but this project was completely different. They are sisters with different goals. I had to show complex emotions, so I approached them as entirely different characters in a different work. It was strange to see two versions of my face in one frame, but because I approached them as very different people, they looked different on screen," she said with a laugh.
"The Eyes" tells the story of a protagonist who is gradually losing her sight due to a hereditary disease and comes face to face with the truth while uncovering the mystery surrounding her twin sister's death. Shin Min-a, Kim Nam-hee, Lee Seung-ryong, and Kim Young-ah star in the film, which is directed by Yeom Ji-ho of "The Neighbor." It will be released on the 24th.
