[Sportschosun Ahn So-yoon reporter] Actor Gong Myung expressed his admiration for Jin Seon-gyu, whom he reunited with seven years after the film "Extreme Job."

Gong Myung met with Sportschosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 22nd and said, "Jin Seon-gyu is 17 years older than me, but he treats me very casually," adding, "I want to become a senior like him."

The Netflix film "The Husbands," released on the 19th, is a comedy action movie about an unpredictable rescue mission in which a former husband and a current husband join forces by chance to save a wife who has been kidnapped by a criminal organization. Directed by Park Gyu-tae, who helmed "6/45," Gong Myung plays Min-seok, the current husband of Si-nae.

Speaking about how he felt after "The Husbands" was released, Gong Myung said, "It was such a happy project to film that watching the movie brought back a lot of new memories. I also enjoyed it at the recent premiere, and after the release, I watched it again at home with my family."

He also addressed the mixed reactions to the film, saying, "I looked up almost all the reviews. Since it is a comedy, I think reactions vary depending on viewers' tastes," and added, "I wasn't particularly hurt by the negative feedback."

He also shared his thoughts on reuniting with Jin Seon-gyu seven years after "Extreme Job" in 2019. Gong Myung said, "If it hadn't been for Seon-gyu, I don't think I would have been able to act that boldly. Every time, I thought about how we could make the scenes even more fun on set." He added, "I want to become a senior like Seon-gyu. He's 17 years older than me, and I feel I should be more respectful to him." He continued, "The youngest junior I have is 15 years younger than me, and I was surprised when I actually heard the age gap as a number. If I can have a junior like that someday, I think it would be wonderful."

He also spoke about whether he felt any pressure, given that "Extreme Job" drew a massive 16.26 million viewers. Gong Myung said, "To be honest, I didn't think about that at all. The subject matter is different, and our relationship dynamic is different too, so I wasn't too worried. But once we started promoting it, I was surprised that so many people brought that up. Also, as "The Crowned Clown" has recently done well, "Extreme Job" is being mentioned again, and I'm realizing once more just how remarkable our film was."
