A L'Occitane Korea employee, identified as A, who leaked unauthorized photos of Mingyu from the group Seventeen, will face legal consequences.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul issued a civil complaint on the 10th, stating, "The case will be handled by Investigation Teams 1 and 2, and the direction of the investigation will be determined after further review."
Recently, A posted a photo of Mingyu, taken personally at a commercial shooting site, on his personal SNS. The photo sparked controversy as it included an image of Mingyu without a shirt.
In response, L'Occitane Korea stated, "There is no excuse for this matter. We take full responsibility and offer our sincere apologies."
However, a netizen, B, filed a complaint arguing that the photo could incite sexual desire or embarrassment, and requested an investigation into A for violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (such as unauthorized filming).
