BLACKPINK's Jennie has officially embarked on her solo comeback.
According to her agency, ODD ATELIER, Jennie will be partnering with Columbia Records, a major U.S. record label, for her solo single set to release in October. Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, represents world-renowned artists such as Beyoncé, Adele, and Harry Styles, and will provide comprehensive support for Jennie's solo career.
Jennie's upcoming solo single follows her special single "You and Me," which was released last October. This new release has generated significant excitement among global fans who have eagerly anticipated her solo comeback. Having showcased exceptional musical talent across various genres, Jennie's return is highly anticipated.
Jennie's collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, released last year, has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify and remained on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for 20 consecutive weeks. This achievement made Jennie the first Korean female solo artist to receive platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Additionally, Jennie's solo music video for "Solo" reached over 1 billion views in April, making her the first K-pop female artist to achieve this milestone. As Jennie continues to make a significant global impact and set new records, anticipation is high for her upcoming solo project.
Jennie has confirmed her solo comeback for October and is currently preparing for this exciting return.
