Jungkook Wins Two Awards at 2024 Billboard Music Awards

Jungkook swept the 'Top K-Pop Album' and the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' with his solo album 'GOLDEN' and the title song 'Standing Next to You' at the '2024 Billboard Music Awards' held on the 13th (Korea Standard Time).
Last year, Jungkook won the trophy for his solo single `Seven (feat. Latto)" in 'BBMAs'. This year, he was named the winner of the same category and was honored with the award for the second consecutive year.
Released in November last year, 'GOLDEN' entered the U.S. Billboard main album chart 'Billboards 200' and ranked in the rankings for 24 consecutive weeks. This is the longest chart among Korean solo singers. The title song 'Standing Next to You' entered the main song chart 'Hot 100' at No. 5, becoming the sixth song to enter 'Hot 100' based on Jungkook's solo song. Jungkook showed off his appearance as a `global pop star' by breaking through the charts 'top 10' with 'Seven (feat. Latto)', solo singles '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)', 'Standing Next to You'. Jungkook is the only Korean solo artist who has made it to the top 10 of 'Hot 100'.
Meanwhile, BTS, to which Jungkook belongs, won the Top Social Artist (Top Social Artist) award in 2017 and made its first relationship with 'BBMAs'. They then won the trophy in this category every year until 2021. In 2019, 2021, and 2022, they became the winners of 'Top Duo/Group' and won 12 trophies, including 'Top Song Sales Artist' (Top Song Sales Artist/2021-2022), and 'Top Selling Song/2021-2022). Jungkook also achieved great success in his solo career, adding to his three awards history in last year's and this year's `BBMAs.'
