[Sportschosun Reporter Jo Min-jung] GOT7 member Youngjae has once again publicly raised the issue of unpaid appearance fees, expressing his frustration.
Youngjae recently posted a lengthy message on his social media account and spoke out against the production company behind the musical 'Dream High 2.'
He wrote, "I thought you said it would be settled by June 9, but it still hasn't been resolved as of today." He added, "By August, it will have been almost a year since this issue over appearance fees first arose," voicing his frustration.
Youngjae said, "How would anyone feel seeing related posts when I still haven't even properly received the appearance fee I was supposed to get?" He also appealed, "Please don't say as if the settlement is still in progress after only paying part of the amount."
In particular, he directly tagged the production company Art One Company and CEO Kim Eun-ha's account, publicly urging them to resolve the matter.
Youngjae stated, "The amount is at a level that I do not think can be considered a proper settlement," adding, "I did not make any unreasonable demands. I wanted to resolve this amicably, but I do not think we are the ones making the situation uncomfortable."
Earlier, Youngjae took legal action against the production company behind the musical 'Dream High 2' in January. He claimed that although he appeared in the show from April to July last year, he was not paid after the performance ended. The controversy grew further when news emerged that 'Dream High Season 3' was being produced while the appearance fee issue remained unresolved.
At the time, some also raised suspicions that the company was moving ahead with a sequel without resolving the payment issue.
Meanwhile, Youngjae enlisted in November last year and is currently serving as a social service worker.
