[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Actor Jang Yo-hoon, who made a strong impression as Min Ji-woong, a law-breaching juvenile, in the Netflix series "Teach You a Lesson," spoke candidly about the pressure he felt when he was cast and the behind-the-scenes story from filming.

On the 16th, Netflix South Korea's official YouTube channel released a video titled "'Teach You a Lesson' graduates(?) gathering. Reading villains' comments, Q&A, and behind the scenes." The video featured Ok Jin-wook, who played Jo In-beom; Yoo Tae-joo, who played Park Seong-hwan; Park Seo-yoon, who played Han Ye-ri; Park Ji-hyun, who played Woojin's mother; and Jang Yo-hoon, who played Min Ji-woong, as they shared a range of stories about the production.

Jang said that reactions changed after the series was released. "Even elementary school friends I had lost contact with reached out to me," he said, adding that he could feel the drama's explosive popularity.

During a Q&A session with fans, he also opened up about the concerns he had while playing Min Ji-woong, a law-breaching juvenile. Jang said he is often asked, "What was the hardest part about playing a 14-year-old?" He recalled, "My real age is 1993-born. After I was cast, I worried about my face, and I kept wondering whether I could really capture the explosive energy of that age group."

He added, "I drew a lot of strength from the four law-breaching juveniles coming together," crediting the actors he worked with. Although the drama portrayed rough and dangerous teenagers, he said the close teamwork with his fellow cast members was a major source of support on set.

He also revealed the behind-the-scenes story behind his striking look in the series. "I really shaved my head," Jang said, laughing as he added, "It was summer, and it felt incredibly cool." The comment highlighted his willingness to make a bold transformation for the role.

Finally, Jang left a heartfelt message for Min Ji-woong, the character he played. "You've been scolded enough, so get your act together. Live kindly from now on," he said. He added, "Mom, if I do something wrong, scold me and let's try living together." His words, which reflected a wish for Min Ji-woong's growth and change, deepened the lingering impact of the series.

Meanwhile, "Teach You a Lesson" is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and has drawn intense attention since its release for its realistic portrayal of social issues such as school violence and the erosion of teachers' authority.
