[Sportschosun Jo Min-jeong] Dating rumors involving DAY6 member Dowoon and influencer Yoo Ji-yu have resurfaced.
The two were previously caught up in dating speculation last month, mainly online. At the time, clues such as a pet dog spotted in a car, similar interior design, and items believed to be couple goods were cited as evidence, but JYP Entertainment denied the rumors.
However, new details have recently emerged, drawing renewed attention from fans.
On the 16th, an old YouTube vlog by Yoo Ji-yu spread across online communities. The video, uploaded about eight months ago, shows Yoo Ji-yu visiting a Chinese restaurant and having a meal.
The location in question was a limited collaboration venue held to mark DAY6's 10th debut anniversary. The table in the video had the DAY6 fandom name, "My Day," written on it, and the interior was also decorated with DAY6-related phrases and ornaments.
The event was known at the time as a highly sought-after reservation-only promotion that drew major attention among fans. As a result, some fans are reacting by saying, "It is hard to see this as a simple visit," "It feels meaningful in hindsight after the dating rumors," and "Why that place, of all places?"
Others, however, are taking a more cautious stance, saying, "If you are a fan, it is a place you could easily visit," "It is a stretch to connect this to dating," and "This is not solid evidence." In particular, online debate has flared again as the newly surfaced video is being discussed alongside earlier claims about a phone case, pets, and similar interior design.
Meanwhile, Dowoon debuted with DAY6 in 2015 and is still active with the group. Yoo Ji-yu is known as the younger sister of influencer Yoo Hye-joo, who rose to fame through "Ulzzang Shidae."
