Namgoong Min's agency, 935 Entertainment, said on the 18th, "A precious new life has come to actor Namgoong Min and actor Jin Ah-reum," adding, "The couple is preparing to welcome their new family member with gratitude and excitement, while prioritizing health and stability."

The two met in 2015 as director and actress on Namgoong Min's film Light My Fire and formed a connection. A year later, in 2016, they confirmed their relationship and continued dating publicly for about seven years before getting married in October 2022.
