Ayane, Lee Ji-hoon's Wife, Flips the '70% Predicted' Second-Baby Gender Guess... Surprise Result: "It's a Girl!"

[Sportschosun Kim Soo-hyun] Singer Lee Ji-hoon's wife, Miura Ayane, has revealed the gender of their second child.

On the 18th, Ayane shared the surprise news, saying, "The second baby's gender was... a girl. Isn't that surprising? So many people predicted a boy!"

In fact, Ayane had previously run a poll among her SNS followers asking them to choose between 'girl vs. boy,' and a full 70% predicted a boy.

Ayane explained that she had already learned the result about a month earlier through an obstetrics and gynecology exam, but delayed revealing it because of her physical condition and morning sickness.

She said, "I was so heavy and tired that even going to pick up the result sheet, which was only 30 minutes away, felt difficult," describing her condition at the time.

She also said, "Since this is my second pregnancy, I was less curious than I was with my first. I wanted either a girl or a boy, 50-50. But I heard the test was not 100% certain, so I held off on sharing the news out of caution," she explained.

She added that she was finally able to make the announcement only after a recent ultrasound at the hospital confirmed the doctor’s opinion that "it is a girl."

She said, "This week, I went to the hospital for the first time in a month, had an ultrasound, and confirmed once again that it is a girl," adding that she was only now able to share the news.

Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hoon and Ayane married in 2021 and welcomed their first daughter, Ruhee, after undergoing IVF treatment. They have recently received many congratulations after announcing the pregnancy with their second child.
