[Sportschosun reporter Kim So-hee] Hyunsook and Sangcheol from ‘I’m Solo’ Season 17 have become parents.
On the 19th, Hyunsook shared the news of her delivery directly on social media, writing, "Our Kkobugi has finally come into the world~"
Hyunsook said, "In the final month, the baby turned breech and I started having early contractions, so I was worried I might not make it to full term. But thankfully, I delivered a healthy baby at 38 weeks." She added candidly, "The C-section hurt far more than I imagined, and I burst out laughing because of my husband. I thought the incision was going to split open."
She then thanked her husband, saying, "You worked so hard taking care of a wife who could barely keep herself together, honey! Let’s raise our Seojun to be beautiful and healthy."
The video released along with her post also included a video letter to their son. The couple said, "Our Kkobugi was born healthy at 3.3 kilograms," and added, "We don’t know how many tears we shed the day we first held you in our arms."
They continued, "Your ears look just like your dad’s, and your thin lips take after your mom’s. We were so surprised when you seemed to be holding up your head just three days after birth. You’re just a very strong baby. We knew something was unusual ever since you turned breech twice, a month before your due date." Their remarks drew laughter.
They also said, "Since you were born in June, we wanted to give you the name 'Jun.' After much thought, your mom and dad decided on 'Seojun' (actually, we asked ChatGPT)." Their confession brought more laughter.
Finally, the couple said, "Our tiny, precious baby, we will never forget how your little hand held ours so tightly today. We will always stay by your side and love you deeply."
Meanwhile, Hyunsook and Sangcheol, who became the final couple on Season 17 of ‘I’m Solo,’ held their wedding on August 24, 2024, and became the eighth married couple from the show. The two are the same age. Hyunsook works as an accountant, while Sangcheol works at an advertising company.
