[Sportschosun Lee Ji-hyun] Actor Jo Jung-suk shared an unexpected story about reuniting with his first love from his school days.
On the 19th, a video was released on Jo Jung-suk's YouTube channel showing him visiting the area around Banghwa-dong, Seoul Gangseo-gu, his hometown. As he toured places filled with childhood memories, he recounted stories from his school days.
That day, while reminiscing about memories with friends at a neighborhood cafe, Jo brought up a girlfriend he had dated in middle school. "I had a girlfriend in middle school," he said. "Back then, I was at an age when I would get nervous even walking to eat tteokbokki, worried our hands might brush."
He then revealed how he unexpectedly ran into his first love after many years, in a place he never expected.
"I was talking with friends at a cafe when a family came in," he said. "It turned out to be the girlfriend I had dated in middle school."
"She came with her child and husband, and her husband was someone I knew too," Jo explained. "We had gone to the same church before, and he was the person she had introduced me to."
"It had been so long since we last met that it was really amazing," he said, adding that the moment remained especially memorable and heartwarming. Jo also joked, "I keep thinking maybe I'll run into her again today," drawing laughter with his playful remark about wanting more screen time.
Meanwhile, Jo Jung-suk married singer Gummy in 2018, and the couple has two daughters.
