[Sportschosun Jo Min-jung] Soyi, formerly of Gugudan and whose real name is Jang So-jin, has announced her wedding news herself, marking a new beginning.
On the 20th, Soyi shared her feelings ahead of marriage on her social networking service (SNS), saying, "As summer is just around the corner, I want to share some exciting news with you."
She said, "I have made a promise to spend my life with someone who has made my life more meaningful." She added, "Every moment with him, I found myself smiling nonstop without even realizing it."
She continued, "I also came to realize that I become my most natural and comfortable self when I am with him." She promised, "This coming August, we are preparing to begin a new chapter as husband and wife. In every moment ahead, we will do our best to be each other's strongest support."
Finally, Soyi added, "Please watch over this unfamiliar but beautiful beginning with warm hearts. Thank you."
In the photos released along with the announcement, Soyi is seen wearing a pure white wedding dress, while her fiancé is dressed in a beige suit. Attention was drawn especially after Soyi tagged her fiancé's SNS account, and through that account, it was revealed that he is working as a lawyer.
Meanwhile, Soyi debuted in 2016 as a member of the girl group Gugudan.
