On the episode of SBS's "My Little Old Boy" airing on the 21st, Kim Hee-chul, Kim Jun-ho, and Kim Jong-min will be seen visiting a gold shop to raise emergency cash.
Recently, the three men jumped on the gold-investment trend as gold prices soared. They visited a gold shop run by gold-buying creator Ringring Unni, who is famous for the catchphrase, "How much did it come to?" The shop has become a hot topic, with each video it posts drawing millions of views. Kim Jong-min raised expectations even further by introducing the shop as "the place Shinji also visited."
The sight of the three men arriving with a huge pile of gold also drew attention. Kim Hee-chul lifted a heavy bag and said, "I brought everything I had in Wonju." Not to be outdone, Kim Jun-ho caused a stir in the studio when he secretly brought gold belonging to Kim Ji-min's mother, saying, "This is my mother-in-law's." Comments such as "They brought everything," and "They should get scolded" poured in as people chided the two for their childish behavior. But once the appraisal began, everyone reportedly held their breath, waiting to see how much the gold would fetch.
Kim Hee-chul also put out a gold cup he had kept in storage for years and explained, "I was going to use it when I got a wife, but I don't think that's happening, so I brought it." The appraisal that followed revealed an unexpected result, leaving everyone speechless. The small cup, about the size of a soju shot glass, was valued at a staggering 15 million won. Kim Hee-chul then revealed a gold necklace he inherited from his grandfather. As the appraisal value was announced amid rising tension, Kim Hee-chul kept shouting, "Grandpa!!" toward the sky, and the studio reportedly erupted as well, with people saying, "This is amazing."
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-min drew everyone's attention by bringing gold he had received as a gift from Cha Tae-hyun. True to Cha Tae-hyun's reputation as a maker of heartwarming stories, he had once given one don of gold to every staff member of "1 Night 2 Days." Kim Jun-ho then immediately called Cha Tae-hyun and tipped him off, saying, "Kim Jong-min came here to sell this," which put Kim Jong-min on edge.
