Ahn Young-mi Reveals Maternity Photoshoot, Tears Up Ahead of Second Child's Birth: "I Don't Feel Lonely"

[Sportschosun Jo Yoon-sun] Comedian Ahn Young-mi has begun maternity leave.

On the 21st, Ahn shared maternity photos on her social media along with a post that read, "My dear Du-deungies, I will come back after safely delivering the baby in good health. And while I'm away, I hope you won't go to another radio show. Our Two O'Clock Date production team could lose confidence. I'll also be keeping an eye on the mini monitor, so please go easy on the special DJ's excessive cheering."

The photos showed Ahn in a white T-shirt and jeans, proudly showing her baby bump. In one shot, she smiles brightly while holding a baby garment embroidered with her second child's prenatal name, "Ddakdongi," capturing the excitement of the upcoming birth.

Another photo drew attention as Ahn smiled happily while holding flowers and a cake she received from the radio production team.

Ahn delivered her final farewell on MBC FM4U's "2 O'Clock Date with Ahn Young-mi," which aired that day.

As she prepared to take leave for the birth of her second child, she said, "I still can't believe it. I'm having my second baby, and today is my last broadcast. Why does it keep feeling like a dream?"

She added, "Ever since I announced my pregnancy, my Du-deungies have kept cheering me on, praying for me, and worrying about me. They worried about me even more than my family did, so I honestly never felt lonely."

"Before that, I had many lonely moments and often felt like I was the only one in the world. But through 'Two O'Clock Date,' my Du-deungies helped me realize, very deeply, that I was not alone. I'm so grateful," she said, expressing her appreciation to listeners.

Ahn became emotional as she said, "People kept telling me I was brave and amazing, asking how I could have a second child. But none of this would have been possible without our Du-deungies. If I hadn't been doing radio, I don't think I would have even dared to try."

She went on to promise, "Because I had such reliable support from all of you, I was able to come this far. I'm not the amazing one; you gave me the strength to do it. Thank you so much, and thank you for your prayers and support. I will have a safe delivery and definitely come back."

Meanwhile, Ahn married a non-celebrity who works for a foreign company in 2020. The couple has maintained a long-distance marriage between South Korea and the United States, and she gave birth to their first son in the United States in 2023.

In February, she personally announced her second pregnancy during a live radio broadcast. At the time, she said, "My first pregnancy was already considered a late-age pregnancy, but this one is definitely even more so, so I feel anxious every day, as if I'm walking a tightrope." She added, "I gave birth to Ddak-kongi, my first child, in July, when it was very hot. I'm due to have my second baby in July as well. It's a boy, and his prenatal name is Ddakdong."
