Park Jeong-su Reveals Why She Has Lived for 25 Years Without Remarrying Jeong Eung-young, Jung Kyung-ho's Father: "I'm Not Confident About Family Conflicts"

[Sportschosun Jo Yoon-seon Reporter] Actress Park Jeong-su revealed the Apgujeong building she built for director Jeong Eung-young, with whom she has been in a common-law marriage for 25 years.

On the episode of SBS's "My Little Old Boy" that aired on the 21st, Kim Seung-soo, Kim Jong-min, and Yoon Min-soo visited Park Jeong-su's building in Apgujeong.

That day, Kim Seung-soo, Kim Jong-min, and Yoon Min-soo could not hide their admiration after hearing that Park Jeong-su had built a five-story building on prime land in Apgujeong for director Jeong Eung-young, her common-law partner of 25 years.

Park Jeong-su explained, "There used to be an old building there, so I rebuilt it. At the time, my husband was working a lot, so I built it for him so he could keep working hard instead of renting something like an officetel."

The upper floors of the building also include a private studio for Jeong Eung-young, but he has reportedly not been active on a new project for quite some time.

Park Jeong-su said, "I understand how he feels. I asked him, 'You always said you were going to start a drama, so why aren't you doing it?' I think he felt a lot of pressure, worrying that if he made a new work and it was not as good as before, what would happen."

After hearing that, Kim Seung-soo joked, "If he didn't have a hideout here, he would have had to pay rent for a studio. Maybe he's just relieved that he doesn't have to pay rent." His remark drew laughter.

Park Jeong-su added, "He usually doesn't say thank you. But when he comes here to work or have a drink, he comes in and says, 'Honey, I'm really grateful to you.'"

Later, while touring Jeong Eung-young's studio, a photo of him with his son Jung Kyung-ho was revealed. Everyone was amazed by how much the father and son looked alike, and Park Jeong-su said, "Jung Kyung-ho looks exactly like his father. As he grew up, he became even more alike, even in the way he moves."

Park Jeong-su also candidly explained why she has continued her common-law marriage with Jeong Eung-young since they met in 2001.

She said, "Marriage is when one family meets another. What I was afraid of back then was that I was 50 years old, and if there were conflicts with the other family, I wasn't confident I could handle the emotional strain that would come from hurting each other's feelings."
