[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] On Detectives' Business Secrets, a shocking story was revealed about a newlywed wife who became obsessed with 'spirit sex' with a deceased ex-lover and even tried to get pregnant by him.
In the 'Detective 24 Hours' segment of Channel A's Detectives' Business Secrets, which aired on the 22nd, the painful story of a woman in her 40s who said, "I registered my marriage just eight days after meeting him," was introduced. The client, who had hoped to get married within the year, met a man on a dating app through a friend's recommendation. Both wanted marriage, and they quickly grew close over a shared interest in wealth management. When they met in person, the man introduced himself by saying, "I used to run an event company, sold it, and used the money to acquire three properties in Seoul." He also said, "I now run a content company as a hobby and make money through various investments." But starting the day after they met, he began asking the client for money under the pretext of investing. Whenever she became suspicious, he would appear in a luxury sports car or calm her fears with sweet words and polished speech. After he even arranged a phone call with his mother, the client became convinced he was her marriage partner and handed over 25 million won.
He later sent her a screenshot of an account showing a balance of 26.4 billion won and said, "I'm showing you everything because you're the person I'm going to marry." In the end, the client registered the marriage just eight days after meeting him, signed a notarized document for a total of 80 million won, and then gave him an additional 50 million won. Including the money she sent before the marriage registration, the total came to 75 million won. But the man became angry, saying, "There's 5 million won missing from the 80 million won written in the notarized document." He then went so far as to pressure her to sell the apartment she owned, saying, "I'm your husband, so what's yours is mine." Realizing something was wrong, the client investigated and found that the man had not only had his bank accounts frozen but was also registered as an unknown resident on his official records. Watching the story unfold, Defconn said, "This is truly the worst," and added, "The client only wanted to find a life partner, but the assets she had saved and her daily life collapsed in an instant," expressing his sympathy. Whether the detective team can track down the whereabouts of the self-proclaimed 26.4 billion won asset holder and help the client with her marriage annulment lawsuit will be revealed next week.
In the reality-based reconstruction segment 'Case File,' the story of a newlywed man five months into marriage who said, "I think my wife is cheating," was introduced. Unlike his wife, who wanted a baby right after the wedding, the client, a university part-time lecturer, avoided intimacy because he wanted to have children only after his finances were stable. His wife then began going out day and night and staying out overnight, using her mother-in-law's illness as an excuse. After investigating, the team found that the client's wife was withdrawing large amounts of cash every day and visiting motels. In the motel room trash bin, they discovered records of ordering couple items and traces of pregnancy test use, intensifying suspicions of an affair. Eventually, the wife told the client, "I cheated. Let's get divorced," and later she was seen visiting an obstetrics and gynecology clinic, fueling suspicions that she might be pregnant with another man's child.
But the truth behind the case completely overturned everyone's expectations. The client's wife, who had schizophrenia, was suffering from extreme anxiety that her husband might leave her. She wanted to have a child as soon as possible, and after stopping her medication in hopes of becoming pregnant, she began experiencing hallucinations. After the couple's wedding, they lived in a motel for two months because renovations on their newlywed home were delayed, and it was there that she began seeing her deceased ex-lover. In the end, the client's wife became addicted to spirit sex with her dead lover, lied about it, and kept going in and out of the motel. It was also revealed that she had been deceived by fake shamans who told her she could become pregnant with a ghost's child, leading her to perform bizarre rituals costing millions of won at a time. Watching the story, Yoon In-na said, "I felt like I wanted to hold her because she was so afraid her husband would leave," and teared up. The client blamed himself, saying it was all his fault for not making her feel secure, and decided to begin treatment for his wife and work on repairing their relationship.
Meanwhile, Lee Min-woo of the long-running idol group Shinhwa, who married a third-generation Korean resident in Japan 11 years his junior in March, appeared on the show and shared updates on his sweet newlywed life and how deeply he is immersed in raising his two daughters. In particular, he chilled everyone by recounting a frightening experience from his childhood. Lee said, "I was hiding in the gap of a shopping arcade shutter while playing hide-and-seek, and a soldier in a Navy uniform was standing next to me." He recalled, "At first, I thought it was a mannequin, but then it suddenly grabbed my hand. In that moment, I couldn't move," sending chills through the studio.
