Lee Mujin Wins Injunction Against Cha Ga-won Over Unsettled 2.1 Billion Won Claim..."Forced Activities Against His Will Prohibited"

[Sportschosun Kim Su-hyun] Singer Lee Mujin has won a lawsuit seeking to suspend the effect of his exclusive contract against Big Planet Made Entertainment, the agency led by Cha Ga-won.

According to a News1 report on the 24th, Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 50, presided over by Chief Judge Lee Sang-hoon, accepted Lee Mujin's request for an injunction to suspend the effect of his exclusive contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment.

The court said Big Planet Made Entertainment may not force Lee Mujin to carry out entertainment activities against his will or ask third parties to block his activities.

Earlier, Lee Mujin's side claimed it had not received settlement payments for the second quarter of last year through the first quarter of this year, and notified the agency in March that it was terminating the exclusive contract.

Lee Mujin's side also said the unpaid amount withheld by the agency through last year totaled 2.1 billion won.

With the injunction granted, Lee Mujin can continue independent activities until a ruling is issued in the main lawsuit over the exclusive contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Cha Ga-won co-founded One Hundred with MC Mong in 2023. MC Mong later left One Hundred, and Cha now runs the company alone.

However, recent reports have said Cha failed to make settlement payments, and artists formerly under One Hundred and its subsidiary Big Planet Made Entertainment, including SHINee's Taemin, The Boyz, VIVIZ's Eunha, SinB and Umji, as well as Lee Mujin, BIBI and Lee Seung-gi, are said to have notified the company of contract termination.
