[Sportschosun Reporter Kim Soo-hyun] Kang Joo-eun, who still maintains a toned figure at 56, has taken on a new workout challenge.
On the 24th, a video titled "If You Follow Along, You’ll Definitely Lose 5 kg: Kang Joo-eun’s Hilarious Workout Challenge" was released on the YouTube channel "Kang June."
That day, Kang Joo-eun set out to try "Bungee Fitness." She said, "It seems like a workout combined with physical therapy. This is my first time trying it too, and I think a lot of people have been worrying about exercise these days."
Kang Joo-eun explained why she started exercising, saying, "From middle age on, we really have to pay attention because we are not as active as we used to be. We take cars more often, and we avoid risky workouts, so middle-aged people end up using their muscles less."
The instructor explained that the workout is effective and does not put too much strain on the muscles, adding that it is especially good for losing belly fat.
Kang Joo-eun also shared her concerns, saying, "Now that I’m 56, I don’t think I have the same stamina I used to. My joints hurt, and even when I ride a motorcycle, my fingers ache. That had never happened before."
After beginning the workout in earnest, Kang Joo-eun worked hard to keep up with the high-intensity movements, including hanging in the air.
Already having a strong core, Kang Joo-eun gradually adapted to the workout under the instructor’s guidance, drawing admiration. She said, "It makes me use my core muscles that I haven’t used before," expressing surprise at the workout’s effects.
