[Sportschosun Lee Gae-eun] Actress Kang Ye-won recalled a privileged childhood in which her family invested 200 million won a year just for her vocal music lessons.
On the 25th, a video titled "Kang Ye-won finally visits a matchmaking agency (top 0.04%)" was released on the YouTube channel Gwang Ye-won.
Kang Ye-won visited a matchmaking agency with her mother for a consultation. She honestly told the staff member that she wanted someone capable, even if he lacked looks or charm. She added, "Since my father passed away recently, I think I have been too overwhelmed to make time for dating. Someone easy and comfortable, like a friend, would be best for someone like me who does not date much." Kang Ye-won was left in shock after learning only later, following her father's death in April, that he had left behind 1.1 billion won in debt.
She also said that a partner's annual salary was important, adding, "My father left only debt behind. After living through this, I realized money is the only thing I can rely on."
Hearing this, Kang Ye-won's mother said, "The women who marry into wealthy families all wear Chanel. I could not provide that for my daughter, so I hope she meets a good husband and lives the life she wants." Moved to tears, Kang Ye-won quickly replied, "I bought you a Chanel bag, didn't I? Do I get married just to carry a Chanel bag?" The staff member laughed and said, "You really did grow up very well-off, didn't you?" Kang Ye-won, a graduate of Hanyang University Department of Vocal Music, drew attention when she said, "My vocal music lessons alone cost 200 million won a year. Didn't my mother even sell all her jewelry?"
