Brian Reveals Shocking Abuse by a Stalker Fan Who Mocked His Grandmother’s Death: "You Should Die Too"

[Sportschosun Kim Jun-seok] Brian has revealed the shocking abuse he suffered from a stalker fan who even mocked his grief over his maternal grandmother’s death.

In a video released on the YouTube channel Dolby Horror Radio on the 25th, Brian recalled the most chilling stalker fan incident he has faced since his debut.

He began by saying, "Most singers and entertainers have fans who cross the line," and added, "There was someone who used to support me very hard, but at some point, that person became a vicious anti-fan."

Brian was especially shaken as he recalled what happened when his maternal grandmother passed away.

He said, "When my grandmother died, I posted on social media asking for prayers, and someone commented, 'That grandmother died because of you. You should die too.'"

He went on to say, "I could not understand how someone could go that far. It was heartbreaking."

The stalker fan’s behavior did not stop at online abuse.

Brian also said that a mysterious package bearing his name was once delivered to his home.

He explained, "The box was strangely wet, and inside was a bathrobe soaked through."

He continued, "The letter was handwritten across an A4 sheet. At first, it said, 'I like you' and 'I love you,' but later it changed to, 'So you need to disappear from this world. Die.'" He added, "I knew who it was the moment I saw the handwriting. The fact that they even knew my address made me realize this was not a normal person." In the end, the stalker fan even came to his house.

Brian said, "One night around 11 p.m., the intercom rang. On the screen, the person had their nose and mouth covered, and only their eyes were visible. I knew immediately who it was." He said he reported the incident to the police through his agency right away.

He recalled, "I was afraid they might come inside, so I stood at the front door holding a frying pan because I had no weapon." He added, "That day, I even thought, 'So this is how I die. I’m going to die holding a frying pan.'"

Police who responded to the report searched the apartment stairs and the inside of the building for about 30 minutes, but they reportedly failed to find the stalker fan anywhere, including on CCTV footage.

Brian explained, "Back then, our country’s stalking laws were much weaker than they are now." He added, "That is also why idols and singers often do not talk about stalker fans. If they speak publicly about these incidents, the perpetrator may think they received attention and become even worse."

He concluded, "At first, it was unbearable, but now I have developed the habit of deliberately not looking at malicious comments or reactions." He spoke calmly about the fear that stalker fans had caused him over many years.
