[Sportschosun Reporter Lee Ji-hyun] Rapper Sik-K (real name Kwon Min-sik) and Japanese dancer Uwa have effectively gone public with their relationship after sharing affectionate moments in Paris, France.
On the 25th, the official social media account of fashion magazine Fastpaper posted a video of the two, along with the caption, "OV3 in PARIS... Sik-K and Uwa, the couple who appeared at the 2027 Amiri spring-summer show."
In the released video, Sik-K and Uwa were seen walking naturally with their arms around each other at Paris Fashion Week, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. As dating rumors surrounding the two have recently surfaced, they have not issued any separate official statement. However, after they were seen attending an overseas official event together and showing physical affection, reactions have continued to suggest that they may have effectively started a public relationship.
In particular, the two appeared relaxed and spent time together without seeming to care about the cameras, showing clear affection for each other. Online users have responded by saying, "It feels like they are not hiding it," and "They are practically a public couple."
Sik-K is a rapper who became widely known through Mnet's rap survival program Show Me the Money 4. However, he became the center of controversy last year after being tried on drug use charges.
In January 2024, Sik-K turned himself in to a police officer working near the Seoul Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, saying, "I used drugs." He was later indicted on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. During the trial, he pleaded for leniency, saying, "I have never felt as ashamed as I do now. If you give me a chance to repay my family and the people around me, I will live with remorse for the rest of my life."
Last year, the Seoul Western District Court sentenced Sik-K in the first trial to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered probation and 40 hours of drug relapse prevention education. In the appeal trial held in April this year, the court upheld the original ruling.
Uwa is a member of the Japanese dance crew Osaka Ojo Gang and became known to Korean viewers through Mnet's World of Street Woman Fighter. She is currently active on tvN's fashion survival program Kill It.
