[Sportschosun reporter Cho Min-jung] Broadcaster Jang Young-ran shared a heartfelt message ahead of the end of Season 1 of "My Precious Child," a program she has been part of for six years.
On the 26th, Jang posted a long message on her social media account along with several photos, saying, "Over these six years, I learned so much, cried so much, reflected so much, and felt so much gratitude."
She said, "I sincerely thank and respect Dr. Oh Eun-young, who gave me great strength whenever I was exhausted and struggling with parenting." She added, "I will keep the love and lessons I learned in my heart and raise my two children with even more warmth." She also expressed affection for co-hosts Jung Hyung-don and Hong Hyun-hee, saying, "I was truly happy to work with you, and you both worked so hard. I will miss you a lot." She went on to thank the production team, saying, "I am deeply grateful to everyone who stayed up night after night to make each episode." Looking back, she said, "These were precious six years that helped me become a better adult, both as a parent and as a person."
The released photos showed the cast and crew of "My Precious Child" gathering for a group commemorative photo after the final recording. Staff members and cast who had worked on the program for a long time smiled brightly as they captured the final moment together. Another photo showed Jang smiling warmly as she posed for a commemorative shot with Dr. Oh Eun-young, Jung Hyung-don, and the families featured on the show. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the children, she struck a pose with her hand extended, adding meaning to the final taping.
She also shared photos that collected various moments from the broadcast. Looking back on the past six years, during which she showed sincere reactions such as surprise and tears, Jang expressed her affection for the program.
At the end of her post, Jang wrote, "I don't know why I keep crying. I must have really loved this program," and added, "Let's meet again in Season 2."
"My Precious Child" has been loved since its first broadcast in 2020 for showing how parents and children can rebuild their relationships through Dr. Oh Eun-young's guidance. Channel A is reportedly planning to present Season 2 after a period of reorganization following the end of Season 1.
Meanwhile, Jang has served as a regular MC since the show's first episode in 2020, empathizing with parents' concerns and becoming one of the program's most iconic figures through her sincere tears and reactions.
