[Sportschosun Jo Min-jeong reporter] Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung shared a cheerful behind-the-scenes look at the filming set of Netflix’s variety show Screwballs.
Hong Jin-kyung recently posted photos and videos from the shoot on her social media account.
In the released photos, Hong Jin-kyung appeared in an orange pigtail wig reminiscent of the cartoon character Pippi Longstocking, along with freckles makeup and a yellow dress, while holding a stuffed monkey in her arms. Fully immersed in the character, she showed off her variety-show charm by walking down the stairs and taking selfies.
The newly released video captured the chaotic and playful filming atmosphere among the Screwballs cast.
When Wooyoung appeared in a taekwondo uniform, Joo Woo-jae, Jo Se-ho, and Kim Sook teamed up to lift him up and lay him on a table covered with ice. The unexpected scene sent everyone on set into laughter, and Wooyoung also struggled and reacted in a very real way, drawing even more laughs.
Throughout the shoot, Hong Jin-kyung kept her unusual costume on and showed her fearless variety-show spirit alongside the other cast members.
Fans reacted by saying, "I thought she was Pippi Longstocking," "Hong Jin-kyung really pulls off any costume," "Wooyoung on the ice was so funny," and "The energy on the Screwballs set is insane."
Meanwhile, Screwballs is a variety program featuring Hong Jin-kyung, Kim Sook, Jo Se-ho, and Joo Woo-jae. It has won viewers over with fearless missions and unpredictable skits.
