[Sportschosun Jo Yoon-sun] Actor Lee Sang-in's family shared a brighter update after receiving Dr. Oh Eun-young's guidance.
The Channel A program My Golden Kids, which aired on the 26th, revealed welcome news about Lee Sang-in's family.
Lee Sang-in's family, which had gone through a difficult period while raising their eldest son, who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder a year ago, drew attention with their noticeably brighter appearance.
On the show, Lee Sang-in spoke about what had changed since appearing on the program. "My wife was so grateful to the program. You gave our family a huge help," he said. His wife, in tears, added, "Just having the chance to appear on this program and sit down to talk with the doctor was truly a lifeline for our family. My heart changed from gray to rainbow colors," expressing her gratitude.
Dr. Oh Eun-young praised the family, saying, "Not only has the mother become brighter, but she has also gained strength. When dealing with the children, she has developed a mother's strength, leadership, and resilience. I think she is doing well in Miryang."
Earlier, Dr. Oh Eun-young had suggested that Lee Sang-in and his wife, who had been living apart on weekdays and weekends, move in together. Lee Sang-in said, "While looking for a solution, I thought it would be better for the children to stay in a comfortable home where they can run around and play. Since they had already adjusted to school, I decided to cut back on my work in Seoul."
He added, "I also found there was a lot I could do in Miryang. Whenever possible, I worked within a range that allowed me to come home after finishing, and I greatly increased the time I spend with my family. The children are very happy, and above all, my wife has changed."
Their three sons also moved viewers with how much they had grown. The eldest had become a dependable older brother, while the younger boys showed warmth by being considerate of him and yielding to him.
Dr. Oh Eun-young said, "The eldest has improved so much. He talks much more now and feels very comfortable spending time with his family. He also expresses himself much more."
Lee Sang-in said, "Before, the eldest had no interest in his younger brothers. Because of his autism spectrum disorder, he only did what he liked and did not talk to or pay attention to his siblings. But these days, if the second son is drawing, he asks about it, and if the youngest is playing near the train safety line, he quickly runs over and tells him it's dangerous and takes him away."
He continued, "The youngest used to hit his older brother when he was upset with him, but recently, at a kids' cafe, another child spoke informally to the eldest, and he kept following him around, asking, 'Why are you speaking to my brother like that?' He became his brother's bodyguard." He added, "Even without us telling them to, seeing them look after one another made us grateful."
Finally, Lee Sang-in expressed his affection, saying, "What really makes me happy is that we spend so much time together, but even if I step away for a moment, I don't feel anxious, and when I come back, my wife welcomes me warmly. The driving force in my life is my wife's smiling face."
