[Sportschosun reporter Jung An-ji] Comedians Heo Kyung-hwan and Park Young-jin opened up about how money matters had kept them apart for a while.
On the 27th episode of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)'s 'What Are You Doing When You Play?', members of 'Whistle Riders' Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Heo Kyung-hwan, and Joo Woo-jae were shown enjoying a Han River ride with Jung Jun-ha and Park Young-jin.
That day, Yoo Jae-suk asked Heo Kyung-hwan whether he knew Park Young-jin, saying, "Aren't the two of you acquainted? Weren't you in the same class?" Heo Kyung-hwan replied, "We used to work in the same circles," and reached out for a handshake. Park Young-jin, however, said, "We're on bad terms now," and complained, "He wouldn't even take my calls or lend me money."
Heo Kyung-hwan then honestly admitted, "This isn't a joke, but Young-jin said he needed to move and asked to borrow money, so I've blocked him for now." He added with a laugh, "I was shocked when he came in today. I thought he was coming to ask for money again."
Park Young-jin made everyone laugh by saying, "I called Heo Kyung-hwan to borrow money, and he answered in a very polite, broadcast-style tone, like, 'Oh, yes, Young-jin.'" Heo Kyung-hwan then explained why he blocked him, saying, "When I heard it wasn't for a broadcast, I quickly folded my phone shut."
Heo Kyung-hwan went on to say, "He only calls me when he's moving. He says, 'Kyung-hwan, I can't make the final payment right now, so I'm out here with my stuff.'" He laughed and added, "He only shows his face after he pays me back." Park Young-jin then reached out for another handshake and said, "Please take good care of me," drawing more laughter.
