Goo Hye-sun's 'gold-priced hair rollers' controversy takes an unexpected turn... Duty-free store entry shows unstoppable momentum

[Sportschosun, Reporter Jung An-ji] Actress Goo Hye-sun has achieved another milestone as the hair rollers she personally developed and patented entered a duty-free store.

On the 29th, Goo Hye-sun shared a post on her social media account, along with a trademark certificate, saying, "I have completed trademark registration and entered Shinsegae Duty Free."

The photo showed the trademark registration certificate for the hair rollers she applied for. Both trademarks were officially registered as non-electric hair roller products, and Goo Hye-sun shared them herself, adding meaning to the brand launch.

She then revealed a screen showing her hair roller product listed among Shinsegae Duty Free's new brand entries and on sale, sharing the good news.

With this, Goo Hye-sun has followed up her product patent with trademark registration and duty-free store entry, marking another meaningful achievement as an entrepreneur.

Recently, Goo Hye-sun drew major attention by personally developing and launching a portable hair roller designed to improve portability, eco-friendliness, and functionality. However, controversy over the price also emerged after it was revealed to cost 13,000 won per unit and 25,000 won for a set of two.

Even so, the product continued to attract steady interest. In April, Goo Hye-sun said, "Hair roller sales have surpassed 10,000 units," underscoring both its strong buzz and sales performance.

Meanwhile, Goo Hye-sun entered the Department of Film and Media Studies at Sungkyunkwan University in 2011 and later earned a master's degree in engineering after majoring in science journalism at the Graduate School of Future Strategy at KAIST, steadily broadening her scope beyond acting into academia as well.
